Heavy rain delays Bahrain Grand Prix in Sepang

The Bahrain Grand Prix was delayed after heavy rain in Sepang, Malaysia, during Formula One's 2026 season on 4 October 2026.

Updates from 8am BST in Sepang reported that Verstappen ended his pole wait.

Those updates said tyre degradation had been one of the big talking points throughout the weekend, with the circuit's abrasive surface putting stress on the tyres and extreme track temperatures having added to the problem, while conditions had cooled.
