Henry Pollock signs multi-year deal with Northampton Saints on 22 September 2026

Henry Pollock ended a contract stand-off by signing a new multi-year deal with Northampton Saints on 22 September 2026, the defending Premiership champions. He described the decision as "a very easy decision" and told BBC Radio Northampton: "I am very, very happy to sign here."

Pollock, 21, came through Northampton's academy after joining the club aged 13 and has spent his entire career at Saints. His previous contract, signed in December 2024, is understood to have been worth about £150,000 and Northampton say the new agreement keeps him at the club beyond the expiry of that deal in summer 2027.

On the field, Pollock made his league debut in November 2023 after winning an age-grade world title with England's under-20s at the end of that season and establishing himself as a first-team regular at Franklin's Gardens. He made his Test debut off the bench against Wales, scoring two tries, in March 2025, was a bolter pick for the British and Irish Lions two months later, featured in Saints' run to the Champions Cup final with notable try-scoring and pre-planned celebrations that helped earn him a place on the eight-strong shortlist for the continental competition's player of the year, and has appeared in each of England's past 12 Tests with his only start coming in a 42-21 defeat by Ireland in February.

"Over the last few years, everyone has seen the quality he brings on the pitch and the speed of his rise through the game – but just as importantly, he's a young man of outstanding character," said Northampton's director of rugby Phil Dowson. He inspires young supporters, brings excitement to rugby, and understands that everything off the pitch is built on performing consistently on it. We're excited to see what he can achieve over the coming years."

Northampton also noted Pollock was part of the Saints side that beat Georgian club Black Lion 93-10 in a pre-season friendly on Friday, and the club's description of the new contract as "multi-year" confirms he will remain at Northampton beyond the summer 2027 expiry of his previous deal.
