Gurinder Singh Sangha left Japan during the Asian Games tournament, the Times of India reported on October 2, 2026, after allegations of sexual misconduct.
Multiple complaints were lodged against him, including accusations of inappropriate behavior towards a Malaysian hockey official.
He previously faced similar allegations during the Hockey India League in January 2025, and umpire Yogita Pasi filed a formal complaint.
