Luke Humphries beat Niels Zonneveld 3-0 to reach the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix at Leicester's Mattioli Arena on Friday, 2 October. He has won eight PDC major singles titles.

World number two Luke Humphries averaged 85.91 and hit four 180s in his victory, converting at a checkout rate of 33.33%. The 31-year-old has not dropped a set in this year's tournament, having whitewashed Dave Chisnall and Jermaine Wattimena in earlier rounds, and he won the World Grand Prix in 2023.

"The way I'm practising, I feel really good, it's just not been coming out this week. Against James, I know I need it to come out, it'll be a tough task," said Humphries, who won the tournament in 2023. "To make four World Grand Prix finals on the trot would be super special. There's not many players that will ever do that and James will know he's got a tough game as well."

James Wade eliminated third seed Gian van Veen with a 3-0 win to set up a last-four meeting with Humphries.

Nathan Aspinall produced a stellar performance at Leicester's Mattioli Arena to beat Ryan Joyce 3-0 and secure his place in the semi-finals; he will face Gerwyn Price next.

Gerwyn Price completed a 3-2 comeback against Jonny Clayton, with Clayton having held a two-set lead and missed match darts before Price prevailed.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, 3 October (20:00 BST) with Nathan Aspinall v Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries v James Wade. The final is set for Sunday, 4 October (20:00 BST).
