Hungary to host Georgia at Puskás Aréna in UEFA Nations League group match on October 2

Hungary will host Georgia at the Puskás Aréna on October 2 in a UEFA Nations League 2026-27 group-stage fixture, with neither side having recorded a win in the competition so far.

Marco Rossi’s Hungary opened their campaign with a 0-1 defeat to Ukraine and followed that with a goalless draw against Northern Ireland, leaving them without a goal in the tournament; the hosts are under pressure to find the net and will seek to assert control early in front of their home crowd.

Ramaz Svanadze’s Georgia began with a loss to the Green and White Army and were then held to a 0-0 draw by Ukraine, likewise failing to score in their opening two matches; Georgia registered 14 shots across those games but did not convert any of them, and they travel to Budapest as the away side.

Dominik Szoboszlai, 25-year-old, is expected to be a focal point for Hungary after creating the joint-most chances (3) in the previous match despite not scoring, while Georgia’s 25-year-old Khvicha Kvaratskhelia produced the most touches (5) in the opposition box and led his team with four shots but also did not find the net.
