Hylo Open 2026: PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen to contest finals on Sunday

PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen will play for titles at the Hylo Open 2026 final on Sunday. Sindhu is scheduled to face Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt in the women's singles final and Sen will meet Jonatan Christie in the men's singles final.

Sindhu and Kjaersfeldt have met seven times on tour with Sindhu winning six of those encounters; their most recent meeting was in the 2026 Indonesia Open round of 16, which Sindhu won in straight games. Sindhu finished runner-up at the French Open last week and also added a title at the Japan Open this season. This will be the first time since 2022 that Sindhu will have finished on the podium at least thrice in a single season.

Lakshya Sen is a former Hylo Open champion, having won the event in 2019, and the report notes he is chasing his first title of the season while Sindhu aims for her second. Sen and Jonatan Christie have met seven times on tour; Christie leads their head-to-head with four wins to Sen's three. Their most recent meeting was at the 2025 All England Open round of 16, which Sen won in straight games, and Sen has won their last two encounters, including the clash at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The report identifies Jonatan Christie as the defending champion at this BWF Super 500 event. Khel Now's schedule lists Pusarla V. Sindhu (2) to begin the evening with the women's singles final at 6:30 PM IST, followed by Lakshya Sen (7) in the men's singles final at an estimated 8:10 PM IST.
