India A squad named for ACC Men’s Rising Stars Asia Cup 2026 with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma included

India A have been named for the ACC Men’s Rising Stars Asia Cup 2026, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma among the selections for the tournament in Doha, Qatar that begins on November 19 and concludes on November 29.

The event will be played in a 50-over format, replacing the T20 structure used in the 2025 edition. Pakistan Shaheens enter the competition as the defending champions and are the tournament’s most successful side with three titles.

Tilak Varma has been appointed captain of India A. Rajat Patidar has been named his deputy, with the announcement describing Patidar as an IPL-winning captain who will serve as vice-captain for the squad.

The top order includes World No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma alongside Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh. Kumar Kushagra has been designated the reserve wicketkeeper, while Rajat Patidar, Rinku Singh and Suryansh Shedge are listed to strengthen the middle order.

India A’s pace attack comprises Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav and Arshad Khan. Spin options named in the squad are Shahbaz Ahmed, Vipraj Nigam, Harsh Dubey and Tanush Kotian, providing a mix of seam and spin resources.

Only Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Suryansh Shedge and Harsh Dubey have been retained from India’s 2025 squad.
