India beat Afghanistan by 127 runs to win T20I series 3-0 in Delhi

India defeated Afghanistan by 127 runs in the third and final T20I at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, completing a 3-0 series win. The match featured a record-breaking innings from Abhishek Sharma and routine bowling support that collapsed the Afghan chase.

India posted 221/7 after a power-packed start, with Abhishek Sharma scoring 108 off 34 balls, including nine fours and 11 sixes; his century came off just 30 balls, the fastest against a full-member side and the fastest international T20I century by an Indian. Sanju Samson contributed 50 off 35 as India raced to 100 inside six overs before losing some momentum later in the innings.

Afghanistan were bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs as Indian bowlers tightened the chase; Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi each took three wickets, finishing the match with figures of 3/25 and 3/26 respectively. Nitish took three wickets in an over in the final match on Thursday, a performance that followed his Man of the Match award in the second game of the series.

Abhishek finished the series as the leading run-scorer with 229 runs from three innings, while Sanju Samson ended with 117. The next highest run tallies in the series were Azmatullah Omarzai with 92, Ishan Kishan with 90 and Ibrahim Zadran with 73.

Nitish Kumar Reddy finished the series as the top wicket-taker with six scalps. He was followed by Arshdeep Singh with five wickets, Axar Patel with four, and both Ravi Bishnoi and Rashid Khan with four wickets apiece; Arshdeep was rested for the final game.

India won all three matches to take the T20I series 3-0.
