India defeated Bangladesh 48-25 at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium in Aichi-Nagoya on 23 September 2026 to secure a place in the men’s kabaddi semi-finals at the Asian Games 2026. The win guaranteed India a spot in the last four of the tournament.

India set the tone early, accumulating 18 raid points and seven bonus points in the first half while completing two All-Outs that added four points. Bangladesh managed just five out points and three bonus points in the opening period, with a solitary Super Tackle providing an additional point. India led 29–9 at half-time after the dominant opening 20 minutes.

Arjun Deshwal replaced Devank Dalal at the start of the second half as India sought to maintain pressure. Bangladesh produced 8 out of 16 points and eight bonus points to total 16 in the second period, but India added 19 points of their own, including another All Out, to close out the match.

The 48–25 result confirmed India as the first team to qualify for the men’s kabaddi semi-finals at Asian Games 2026. The victory was India’s third successive Group A win, following comprehensive victories over hosts Japan and the Republic of Korea, and by advancing to the semi-finals the team is assured a medal.

India will face Chinese Taipei in their final group-stage fixture at 9:45 AM on September 24 as they continue their pursuit of a ninth men’s kabaddi gold medal at the Asian Games.
