India beat Pakistan by 19 runs to win the Asian Games men's cricket gold in Nagoya, Japan on 3 October 2026, finishing with 211-6 in their 20 overs to Pakistan's 192-6. The victory secured the gold medal for India in the final.

Opting to bat first, India were propelled by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma. Abhishek made 61 off 28 balls, smashing seven sixes at the top of the order. Tilak remained unbeaten on 51 from 22 balls, hitting three fours and four sixes; India had reached 81-2 at the end of the powerplay and Abhishek fell in the eighth over.

Pakistan lost early momentum in the chase, slipping to 39-3 inside the early overs. Hasan Nawaz produced a major response with 96 from 51 balls, clearing the ropes seven times in a defiant knock. Despite his effort, he was left largely unsupported and was dismissed with the final delivery of the match.

The Indian attack shared the wickets among several bowlers. Spinners Axar Patel and Washington Sundar each returned figures of 2-29. All-rounder Shivam Dube contributed with 2-33.

India defended the title they held from the previous edition. After winning in Hangzhou, China four years ago in their debut in the men's competition, India have now secured back-to-back Asian Games golds.
