India beat West Indies in the second ODI at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on 1 October 2026, in a high-scoring contest that produced five centuries and a double century.

West Indies posted 405/7 in the first innings, which the report describes as their highest ODI total. That total came in the opening innings but was overtaken within a few hours as India mounted a successful reply.

India completed a chase of a record 406-run target. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 223 off 133 balls — his second ODI double century — while Rohit Sharma contributed 101 off 75 balls during the run chase.

Across both innings five batters reached three figures: John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo reached hundreds for West Indies, while Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill recorded centuries for India. The individual scores in the match were John Campbell 101, Shai Hope 104, Amir Jangoo 114, Rohit Sharma 101 and Shubman Gill 223*.
