India chase multiple medals on Day 13 of Asian Games 2026 as women’s hockey meet China and three boxers contest gold

India will seek to expand its medal haul on Day 13 of the Asian Games 2026 on Friday, October 2, 2026, with competitors entered in several medal events across the programme. The Indian women’s hockey team will meet China in the gold-medal match on the same day.
A range of sports offer Indian medal chances on Day 13, including archery, boxing, hockey, wrestling, cycling, canoe slalom and sepaktakraw. The schedule features three Indian boxers in gold-medal bouts, and the recurve archers are due to compete in the team and mixed team events.
In boxing, Lovlina Borgohain will box China’s Bao Ziyi in the women’s 75kg final at 10 am IST. Parveen is scheduled to face Chen Nien-chin of Chinese Taipei in the women’s 65kg final at 2:15 pm IST. Ankush will contest the men’s 80kg final against South Korea’s Kim Minseong at 2:45 pm IST.
The Indian women’s hockey team will play China in the gold-medal match at 3:30 pm IST. The Indian side will look to finish on top and secure the Asian Games title, with qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games also at stake.
Recurve archers will be active in the team and mixed team events on Day 13. Additional medal opportunities for India are scheduled across wrestling, cycling, canoe slalom and sepaktakraw.
India’s immediate focus on Day 13 will be the three boxing finals—10:00 am IST, 2:15 pm IST and 2:45 pm IST—and the women’s hockey gold-medal match at 3:30 pm IST, all of which carry direct medal implications at the Asian Games 2026.
