The haul comprised 21 gold, 26 silver and 41 bronze medals. Para-athletics supplied the largest share with 52 medals; within that group the breakdown was 18 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze.
Suvarna Raj won gold in the women's F54 discus throw with a best effort of 15.66m, recording four throws beyond 15 metres; the wheelchair-bound 44-year-old claimed what the report described as the biggest win of her career.
Para-archer Sheetal Devi, the 19-year-old reigning world champion and world number one, collected two golds in under two hours. She and Toman Kumar defended the mixed team title against Indonesia's Teodora Audi Ayudia Ferelly and Ken Swagumilang 151-148, and Sheetal then overturned a four-point deficit to beat Singapore's Alim Nur Syahidah 142-139 in a repeat of the Hangzhou 2023 individual final.
The meet featured further successes on the track and field roster, including a Shailesh Kumar-led sweep of the men's high jump T63 event and individual 400m T47 golds for Anjanaben Bumbadiya and Dilip Mahadu Gavit in their respective races.
In the pool, 18-year-old visually impaired swimmer Ravi Budigina added a bronze in the men's 50m freestyle S13 with a time of 25.89 seconds, after earlier taking silver in the men's S13 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle. Kapil Kumar and Swatik Patil also reached the podium, bringing India's swimming medal count to nine.
India will aim to reach the 100-medal milestone on Day 5 of the Asian Para Games, building on the performances that produced the current total of 88 medals.
