India have busy Day 8 at Asian Games with kabaddi golds, morning marathon and evening athletics on September 26

India will face a packed Day 8 at the Asian Games on Saturday, September 26, with multiple medal opportunities spread from the early morning through the evening.
Medal chances open in the early sessions across athletics, shooting and canoe sprint, while kabaddi and squash provide high-profile matchups during the day and athletics finals dominate the night session; India will also have competitors in a broad range of other sports.
Sawan Barwal and Kartik Karkera are scheduled to contest the men’s marathon final at 4:00 AM IST, and the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions team event is set to begin at 6:15 AM.
In canoe sprint, Raju Rawat and L Neha Devi will race in the mixed canoe double 500m Final A, and both Indian kabaddi teams will play Iran for gold — the women’s final at 9:30 AM and the men’s final at 2:30 PM.
Squash features Indian entries in the mixed doubles semifinal, with Joshna Chinappa partnering Velavan Senthilkumar, while Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh will appear in the singles semifinals.
The athletics programme in the evening includes the men’s shot put final featuring Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Karanveer Singh, the men’s triple jump final with Praveen Chithravel and Karthik Unnikrishnan, followed by the women’s 1500m final with Parul Chaudhary and Pooja.
