India's next-generation racers urge more support as they eye Formula 1

Saishiva Sankaran and Viswas Vijayaraj underlined the challenges facing young Indian racers during their return to the Buddh International Circuit, in a report published on 6 November 2026.

They cited limited testing, financial constraints and the demands of balancing education and racing as hurdles to pursuing a career in motorsport.

Both said they are targeting Formula 1 and stressed the need for greater support for Indian drivers to compete on the international stage.
