India take silver in women's 10m air rifle to open Asian Games campaign

India opened their Asian Games shooting campaign on September 20, 2026, winning a silver medal in the women's 10m air rifle.

The Indian shooting team secured the medal through Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod.

Both Elavenil and Sonam reached the final of the individual 10m air rifle, and, building on their previous success in Hangzhou, the team is eager for more medal opportunities in upcoming events.
