India will meet Malaysia in Match 14 of the Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship 2026 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 25, with India entering the fixture off two wins from their opening matches.

India opened the tournament by beating England 46–26 on Day 1 and followed that with a 44–30 victory over Uganda on Day 2; Malaysia have lost both of their opening games, falling first to Uganda and then to Sri Lanka. As the tournament favourites, the Surjeet Singh-led Indian side has shown moments of vulnerability in defence, and the team will need stronger performances in upcoming matches to mount a challenge for the trophy in the inaugural edition.

India’s squad named for the match includes Surjeet Singh (C), Ajit Pawar, Parvesh Bhainswal, Shubham Shinde, Yogesh Dahiya, Nitesh Kumar, Deepak Sankar, Sachin Tanwar, Naveen Kumar, Pankaj Mohite, Aditya Shinde, Shivam Patare, Bharat Hooda and Neeraj Narwal.

Malaysia’s players listed for the fixture are Dhaanushruban Raveechandran, Isaac Alton Andrew, Madhava Naidu, Md Syaiful Firdaus, Nashwein Kumaran, Navindran Subramaniam, Navinessh Ragunathen and Reynes Kumaar.

A big-margin win for India would allow them to claim the top spot in Group A; Sri Lanka currently occupy first place on a superior score difference.
