India U-15 to face Kazakhstan U-15 at Hovsan in FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026 on Oct 29

India U-15 will meet Kazakhstan U-15 at the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan in a FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026 fixture on October 29, 2026, with kickoff set for 19:45 IST. India are coached by Bibiano Fernandes and enter the match after a 2-1 defeat to Afghanistan, while Kazakhstan come off a 5-4 loss to Hungary.

India arrived at the placement rounds having been tipped to top Group K and reach Tier A, but a draw with Grenada and a heavy defeat to Senegal in the final group game left them third in the section. In the opening tie of Tier C the Blue Colts lost 2-1 to Honduras, then recovered to record a 3-2 comeback win over Trinidad and Tobago. India subsequently fell 2-1 to Afghanistan; Nibas Meetei scored India’s lone goal in that match and the team will now contest for 85th place.

Kazakhstan finished third in Group W on seven points behind Ghana and Uzbekistan. Their group campaign included a 7-0 defeat to Panama, a 4-2 victory over Moldova, and a 5-4 reverse to Hungary in their most recent outing. The Kazakhstan side will now meet Bibiano Fernandes’s India in the placement phase.

Statistically, Kazakhstan conceded seven goals across five group-stage matches and scored 13 goals during the group stage fixtures. The tournament report noted Kazakhstan have been hard to break down and that India will need to find a way to get the better of them.

Tournament logistics specify matches last just over 40 minutes and the competition is scheduled to take place over two days; both head coaches will be hoping to have fully fit squads available with no injury concerns. Team selection and fitness availability will determine whether either side can change the course of the placement contest.

The India U-15 v Kazakhstan U-15 match kicks off at 19:45 IST on October 29, 2026, at the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku and will be streamed live on DAZN.
