India’s U-17 women’s team will play two friendly matches against Uzbekistan at the UFA National Football Centre in Tashkent on August 27 and 30, 2026, as part of preparations for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers.

Both matches will be held behind closed doors.

The friendlies are scheduled ahead of the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, which are set for October 5 to 11. Blue Tigresses have been drawn in Group E alongside hosts Malaysia, Syria and Iraq. The fixtures form part of India’s build-up to that qualifying window.

Head coach Joakim Alexandersson will use the two outings to assess his squad ahead of the qualifiers. AIFF Deputy Secretary General Mr. M Satyanarayan said, "Last year, our U-17 Women’s team qualified for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup on merit for the first time and created history by reaching the quarter-finals." He added, "We want to build on that momentum. It is important that the girls continue to get quality opposition in friendly matches, so they can keep developing, gain valuable experience and be better prepared for the qualifiers. Our aim is to qualify for the Asian Cup again and, hopefully, go one step further in next year’s tournament."

India will face Uzbekistan on August 27 and August 30, 2026, with both fixtures staged at the UFA National Football Centre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The friendlies precede India’s participation in the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers from October 5 to 11, where the Blue Tigresses will contest Group E against Malaysia, Syria and Iraq.
