The India U-20 men’s team will play two friendly matches against Yemen at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru on August 20 and 23, 2026, as part of preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers. Both fixtures are scheduled to kick off at 16:30 and will be played behind closed doors.

These games will be the Blue Colts’ third and fourth matches of the current training camp. Earlier in the camp India recorded victories over Singapore at the same venue on August 3 and August 6, winning 3-0 and 1-0 respectively.

At this age group the sides have met only once before: a goalless draw in the AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers in 2017.

After the Yemen friendlies the squad will travel to Tashkent on August 26 to acclimatise to local conditions and to gain additional training time ahead of the qualifiers, five days before the tournament begins.

India will open their AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers campaign against Syria on August 31, then face Uzbekistan on September 3 and Bangladesh on September 6.
