India U15 draw Grenada 3-3 after surrendering 3-0 lead in Group K at FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival in Baku

India U-15 conceded a three-goal advantage to draw 3-3 with Grenada U-15 in Group K on Day 2 of the 2026 FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, after the visitors scored three times in the final 10 minutes; India had earlier beaten Cameroon U-15 2-1 on the same day.

The Blue Colts opened the tournament with a win over Laos and faced a packed Day 2 that included matches against Cameroon and Grenada. The Indian side had been criticised on social media by a sizeable group of followers over the absence of a particular managerial appointment, and Bibiano Fernandes is the head coach leading the team at the tournament.

Senegal, after an opening-day defeat to Cameroon, responded with two comprehensive victories on Day 2, beating Grenada 7-1 in the morning and defeating Bahrain 6-1 in the afternoon. Those back-to-back wins improved Senegal's position in Group K and added significant goals to their campaign tally.

Cameroon rebounded from a 2-1 loss to India by recording a 6-1 win over Laos later on Day 2. That result moved Cameroon back into the top three of the standings and kept them in contention for the group’s top spot heading into the final qualifying day.

Grenada produced the tournament’s notable comeback by overturning a 3-0 deficit to force a 3-3 draw with India, securing their first point of the campaign. The turnaround occurred in the last 10 minutes of the match, altering the group dynamic ahead of the concluding fixtures.

Bahrain were held to a 1-1 draw by Laos in their opening match and then lost 6-1 to Senegal, leaving them with limited prospects; the report notes Bahrain retain an outside chance of advancing depending on other results. Those mixed results mean Bahrain’s progression is contingent on the outcomes on the final day.

With one qualifying day remaining and two matches left in Group K, India lead the standings and will play Senegal and Bahrain on the final day; India’s fixture against Bahrain is scheduled to kick off at 14:15 IST on October 26, 2026, in Baku and will be streamed live on DAZN.
