India U15 to meet Cameroon U15 in FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival tie in Baku

India U-15 will face Cameroon U-15 at the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku on Sunday, 25 October 2026, in a FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival fixture that kicks off at 10:30 AM IST and will be shown live on DAZN.

India enter the match after a comfortable opening victory over Laos U-15 and will look to sustain that momentum in the qualification stages; coach Bibiano Fernandes has urged improvements, particularly in defence, while also encouraging an attacking display in the competition’s 8v8 format. The coaching staff view a win as a significant confidence booster for the young side, but the report warns a heavy defeat could be demoralising.

Cameroon began their campaign with a 3-0 win over Senegal U-15 and arrive aiming for consistency as they target success in the qualification group. The Cameroonian approach is described as combative with an emphasis on well-knit attacking play to test India’s vulnerabilities, and their manager Franck Onana is noted in the report by his domestic nickname, ‘Coach Frankostar’.

Squad fitness appears to be positive for both teams: India’s squad under Fernandes is reported to be fully fit, and Cameroon are also described as poised to field a fully-fit unit. The source notes it will be interesting to see whether either coach makes changes to their starting lineups.

The article records additional context for India’s youth history, stating their biggest-ever U-15 win came in 2017 with a 9-0 victory over Maldives U-15, and notes India will face two African opponents in the qualification stage, Cameroon and Senegal.

A victory for the Indian youngsters is described as a huge boost in self-belief, while Cameroon will seek to maintain the momentum from their opening win as they aim to win the qualification group.
