India U19 beat Australia U19 by seven runs in the first Youth ODI at Rajkot on Friday, September 18, with the match reduced to 20 overs per side because of rain. India posted 182 for six and restricted Australia to 175 for seven in their 20 overs, with debutant Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid among the contributors for the home side.

Anvay Dravid came in at No. 6 with India 88 for four and accelerated the late overs, scoring 38 from 18 balls with two fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 211.11. He combined with Yashbardhan Chauhan for a 69-run stand that rebuilt the innings, and his knock ended in the 18th over when Eli Brain claimed his wicket. The 17-year-old had previously played two Youth ODIs against Sri Lanka in July, making 14 in the first match and 87 off 67 in the second.
Australia kept the chase close with several quick contributions: Neel Patel made 45 off 31 balls, Hayden Barbulovic scored 40 off 24, and skipper Jack Czosnek hit 55 off 27. The visitors finished on 175 for seven from their allotted 20 overs, leaving India a seven-run margin of victory.
Aaryavir Sehwag is the son of former India opener Virender Sehwag and had played domestic cricket before his India U19 call-up; he featured for West Delhi Lions in the 2026 Delhi Premier League, scoring 24 runs in two matches. Anvay Dravid is the son of former India captain Rahul Dravid and serves as a wicketkeeper-batter for the side.
The second Youth ODI will also be played in Rajkot on September 21; the report added that "Aaryavir will now look to carry the same momentum, while Anvay will be hoping to continue his good run with the bat."
