India and Iran will meet in the women's kabaddi gold-medal match at the Asian Games 2026 on Saturday, September 26 at 9:30 AM IST at the Tokai Citizen Gymnasium.

After four days of group-stage action and the semi-finals, India secured their final berth by defeating Nepal 48-24 in semi-final 1, while Iran advanced by beating Chinese Taipei 23–19 in semi-final 2. These two nations are also the finalists in the men's kabaddi competition at the same Games, marking the second time they have met in both finals at the Asian Games.

In 2014 India and Iran faced each other in the finals of both the men's and women's events, with India winning on both occasions. Iran's men's and women's teams won gold medals at the 2018 Asian Games, and they would like to repeat that history.
