Indian para-cyclists collect 12 medals at UCI para-cycling track event in Odense
Indian para-cyclists won 12 medals at the UCI para-cycling track event in Odense, Denmark on August 11, 2026. Andhra Pradesh’s Arshad Shaikh led the haul with six medals.
The medal total comprised six from Arshad, four from Gujarat’s 17-year-old Vishwa Vasani and two from Maharashtra’s 16-year-old Anshuman Dhumal. Vishwa Vasani’s four were all bronze medals and Anshuman Dhumal’s two were silver. The three riders supplied the full Indian medal count at the meet.
Arshad Shaikh’s six medals were: individual time trial (silver), 200m sprint (bronze), elimination (gold), individual pursuit (silver), scratch (silver) and elimination (gold).
Gujarat’s 17-year-old Vishwa Vasani won four bronze medals across the 1km individual time trial, scratch race, 200m sprint and elimination race.
Maharashtra’s 16-year-old Anshuman Dhumal secured two silver medals in the elimination race.
