Indian Women’s League 2026-27 to start on November 13 with all matches live on YouTube

The Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2026-27 will begin in India on November 13, with every match available for live streaming on YouTube, organisers confirmed. The announcement follows a recent 15-year commercial agreement between the All India Football Federation and Capri Sports covering the IWL and IWL 2.
Eight clubs will contest the top tier this season for the national title and the right to represent India in the AFC Women’s Champions League, with fixtures scheduled across three cities: Kolkata, Jamshedpur and Bengaluru. Six teams from last season return to the IWL; two clubs — HOPS (House of Power Soccer Football Club) and Juba Sangha FC from Delhi — have been promoted from IWL 2. Matches will be staged in three phases across the three venues.
Organisers have confirmed that all IWL matches will be streamed on YouTube free of charge, removing access through paywalled OTT platforms. The source states this move is “significantly expected to increase the viewership and expand the reach of the league across various parts of the country.” The report also notes that India’s top two men’s divisions are streamed on YouTube without charge and that this has produced “an exponential spike in the viewership, pulling over millions of views.”
East Bengal enter the season as reigning champions and will begin their title defence against Gokulam Kerala in Kalyani. The article describes the Moshal Girls as having been “the most dominating teams of the tournament in the last few editions” and states they are representing India in the AFC Women’s Champions League. Sethu, who finished second last season, will face Kickstart FC during the opening matchweek.
The competition’s first phase — the opening matchweek — will take place at Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata and run until December 5. The second phase shifts to Jamshedpur from December 10 to December 29, and after a New Year break the IWL moves to Bengaluru from January 4 to January 23, 2027. The schedule divides the tournament across these three windows and venues.
The 15-year deal between the All India Football Federation and Capri Sports, referenced in the announcement, is described as covering the commercial development, marketing, broadcast engagement and growth of both the IWL and IWL 2. That agreement is cited as the context for the league’s broadcast and commercial plans.
The season opens on November 13 with the Kalyani matchweek; supporters can watch the opening fixtures free on YouTube as the competition proceeds to Jamshedpur and then to Bengaluru, concluding the scheduled phases on January 23, 2027.
