IPL auction to be held in Goa in mid-December, likely December 15-16

IPL chairman Arun Dhumal told PTI on Wednesday (September 23, 2026) that the Indian Premier League auction will be held in Goa in mid-December. He added, "We have finalised Goa. The likely dates are December 15 to 16," said Dhumal.

The auction will return to India after three editions staged overseas. Dhumal had earlier said that it was a conscious effort to bring the auction back to India. The report was published on September 24, 2026 at 01:41 am IST from New Delhi.
