Ipswich sign Serbia midfielder Sasa Lukic from Fulham

On 8 August 2026 Ipswich Town signed Serbia midfielder Sasa Lukic from Fulham, the Suffolk club announced as it continued its summer recruitment.

The 29-year-old made 26 Premier League appearances last season and joined Fulham from Torino in January 2023, having gone on to make 106 appearances for the Cottagers. "I can't wait to play here as a home player," Lukic said.

Manager Gary O'Neil welcomed the addition to his squad. "Sasa is a player who brings real experience to the squad heading into the new season," O'Neil said. "Having played nearly 100 games in the Premier League, he knows what it takes to compete in the division and has been a consistent performer throughout his time at Fulham," he added.

Lukic has won 62 caps for Serbia. He represented his country at the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship.

At Italian club Torino, Lukic made 168 appearances over seven seasons. He scored 14 goals for the Serie A side.

Lukic also recalled playing at Ipswich's ground previously. "I have played at Portman Road before in the Premier League and the atmosphere was one of the best I have experienced," he said.

He has signed a contract until 2030. The fee for the transfer was undisclosed.
