Iron Mirage, Knightsbridge and Darringer excel in Bengaluru morning gallops

Iron Mirage, Knightsbridge and Darringer produced notable workouts when the horses were exercised at Bengaluru on Saturday morning, November 7. The session featured both 600m and 1,400m trials with a number of other horses clocked during the drills.

The morning programme comprised short 600m works followed by longer 1,400m gallops. Riders on duty included Chetan, Surya, P. Trevor, Rozario, Robert and Arvind, with several horses recorded across the two distances.

At the 600m session Velvet Haze (Chetan) was timed at 40 and was reported to have moved well. Iron Mirage (Chetan) covered the 600m in 42 and was described as having impressed. Act Of Kindness (Chetan) recorded 44 and was noted to be in fine trim. Maxima (Surya) completed the 600m in 45 and was eased.

In the 1,400m gallops Sassy Sarah (rb) returned a time of 1-44.5 with the 1,400-600 split at 57 and was eased up. Knightsbridge (P. Trevor) posted 1-43.5 with sectional times of 1,200/1-27.5, 1,000/1-12.5 and 600/44.5 and was reported to have moved impressively.

Black Irish (Rozario) completed the 1,400m in 1-45.5 with the 1,400-600 split at 58 and was said to have moved freely. Victor Hugo (Arvind) was timed at 1-48 for the 1,400m with a 1,400-600 split of 59 and was described as easy.

Darringer (Rozario) and Shaolin Star (Robert) worked together to record 1-42, with splits of 1,200/1-26.5, 1,000/1-13 and 600/44; the pair were reported to have moved fluently.
