Ishaan Madesh and Gyan S record lights-to-flag wins at Madras International Circuit
Ishaan Madesh and Gyan S recorded lights-to-flag victories in the MRF Formula 2000 and Formula 1600 races respectively at the third round of the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 4W – 2026 at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Ishaan, who missed the first round, produced a near-flawless performance to outpace points leader Saishiva Sankaran.
Earlier on the programme, Viswas Vijayaraj notched his seventh consecutive win across three rounds in the Formula LGB 1300 class. In the junior category, Nethan McPherson (Delta Racing), who missed the previous two rounds, made a winning start, holding off Momentum Motorsports team-mates Kaveen Rajapaksa and Adam Junaid. T.S. Diljith led a DTS Racing podium sweep in the Super Stock class. Aakash Vivek topped the MRF Saloons (Toyota Etios) category.
MRF F2000 Race-1 finished with Ishaan Madesh first in 12 mins, 47.336 secs, Saishiva Sankaran second in 12:50.666 and Krishay Gutte third in 12:53.825. MRF F1600 Race-1 saw Gyan Satish take the win in 13:58.546, Bhuvan Bonu second in 13:59.069 and Tanmay Kothari third in 14:05.371.
In Formula LGB 1300 Open, Viswas Vijayaraj (DTS Racing) won in 15:05.241, Vinithkumar (DTS Racing) was second in 15:05.529 and T.S. Dilijith (DTS Racing) third in 15:13.891. The junior result was listed as 1. Neythan McPherson (Delta Speeds) (15:18.321); 2. Kaveen Rajapaksa (Momentum Motorsports) (15:21.732); 3. Aadam Junaid (Momentum Motorsports) (15:31.381).
Super Stock Race-1 placed Diljith first in 16:42.380, Lal Kattikulam Bharathan (DTS Racing) second in 16:46.929 and Deepa S. John (DTS Racing) third in 16:48.315. MRF Saloons Race-1 results were Aakash Vivek (Redline Racing India) first in 17:12.082, S. Gokula Rathinam (Redline Racing India) second in 17:14.889 and R. Hemachandran (Redline Racing India) third in 17:19.637.
Ishaan’s victory echoed his performance in the third race of the previous round, when he again outpaced Saishiva Sankaran. Gyan did well to stay in front of the pack while keeping a sharp eye on points leader Bhuvan Bonu, who finished second, with Tanmay Kothari completing the podium.
