Ishaan Madesh takes maiden MRF F2000 win at Madras International Circuit

Bengaluru’s Ishaan Madesh claimed his first victory of the season in the MRF Formula 2000 class at the second round of the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 4W-2026 at the Madras International Circuit on Sunday. He had finished second and third in the weekend’s earlier races before moving ahead of Saishiva Sankaran to win the third race.

Ishaan’s Race-3 triumph ended Pune’s Saishiva Sankaran’s run of five consecutive victories across two rounds. In the MRF Formula 1600 class Bhuvan Bonu won two of the three races and finished second to S. Gyan S. in the remaining race, while in the Volkswagen Polo Cup Pratik Sonawane took two wins and Aman Nagdev won the other.

In MRF Formula 2000 Race-2 (10 laps) Saishiva Sankaran finished first in 16:06.547, Ishaan Madesh was second in 16:13.734 and Swarnav Das third in 16:23.293. Race-3 produced a reversal with Ishaan winning in 12:54.597, Saishiva second in 13:03.529 and Krishay Gutte third in 13:06.041.

MRF Formula 1600 Race-2 (10 laps) saw S. Gyan take first in 17:35.235, Bhuvan Bonu second in 17:35.549 and Shivansh Bejoy third in 17:39.506. In Race-3 Bhuvan won in 13:57.878, S. Gyan was second in 14:10.759 and Shivansh third in 14:17.501.

In Formula LGB 1300 (Open) Race-2 (10 laps) Viswas Vijayaraj (DTS Racing) finished first in 18:56.086, Liron Jaden Samuels (DTS) was second in 18:57.614 and Vinith Kumar (DTS) third in 18:58.572. Race-3 (6 laps) again went to Viswas in 11:37.984, with Liron second in 11:38.576 and Dhruvh Goswami (Meco Racing) third in 11:40.965.

The Junior category Race-2 (10 laps) results were Shatveer Shetty (Meco Racing) first in 19:21.666, Aadam Junaid (Momentum Motorsports) second in 19:36.677 and Dhrihan Dagha (Meco) third in 19:39.313. Race-3 (6 laps) was won by Aadam in 11:51.860, Kaveen Diyyan Rajapksa (Momentum) was second in 11:57.336 and Saurika Livindu (Momentum) third in 12:08.053.

The Volkswagen Polo Cup Race-1 was won by Pratik Sonawane in 15:37.630 with Aman Nagdev second in 15:41.744 and Neel Shah third in 15:42.456. Race-2 (10 laps) went to Aman in 19:37.328, Neel was second in 19:39.604 and Pratik third in 19:41.239; Race-3 was won by Pratik in 15:35.740, Aman was second in 15:37.678 and Neel third in 15:37.901.

MRF Saloons (Toyota Etios) Race-1 concluded with S. Gokula Rathinam first in 17:17.519, R. Hemachandran second in 17:22.108 and Aakash Vivek third in 17:26.603. Race-2 (10 laps) had Gokula first in 21:36.324, Alisha Abdullah second in 21:38.817 and Hemachandran third in 21:39.781, while Race-3 finished with Hemachandran first in 17:19.350, Aakash second in 17:19.676 and Gokula third in 17:22.886.
