ISL 2026-27: Bengaluru top early standings as Goa and Chennaiyin draw at Fatorda

Bengaluru FC beat SC Delhi at home and FC Goa drew 1-1 with Chennaiyin FC at the Fatorda Stadium in the opening fixtures of the 2026-27 MG Indian Super League season on Oct. 11, 2026. The results leave Bengaluru with three points while FC Goa and Chennaiyin share a point apiece.
Bengaluru opened their campaign in front of their home supporters, with Borja Martínez scoring in the 22nd minute before Rodriguinho levelled for SC Delhi. Delhi then took the lead via an own goal by Menno Koch, but conceded two goals in the 75th and the 89th minute, giving Bengaluru all three points. At the Fatorda Stadium, after a quiet first half Irfan Yadwad put Chennaiyin ahead and Chiki restored parity for FC Goa, with neither side scoring again.
The early league table places Bengaluru FC first with three points. Chennaiyin FC sit second with one point, tied on points with FC Goa who occupy third. Churchill Brothers and East Bengal are fourth and fifth respectively despite not having played a match.
Inter Kashi and Kerala Blasters are listed sixth and seventh without having played their openers, while Mohun Bagan SG are eighth and also yet to take the field. Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC and Odisha FC occupy ninth, tenth and eleventh spots respectively without matches played. Punjab FC are placed twelfth and SC Delhi sit bottom after losing their opening game; out of 13 teams, only four have played so far.
Borja Martínez is the current top goal scorer of the 2026-27 MG ISL. Soham Varshneya, Ryan Williams, Mihailo Perović, Aakash Sangwan, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Namgyal Bhutia are all tied in 1st place with 1 assist each.
Nine teams have yet to begin their campaigns, leaving the standings provisional until those sides play their opening fixtures.
