Jaissle confirms Elanga, Dedic, Ramsey and Gonzalez will miss Newcastle’s Premier League tie with Hull

Matthias Jaissle said Newcastle United will be without Anthony Elanga, Amar Dedic, Jacob Ramsey and Nico Gonzalez for their Premier League match against Hull City on Saturday, 19th September. Elanga is scheduled for an MRI following an injury and the manager said no injured players will return for the game.
Newcastle have lost recent matches and currently sit 12th in the league, and Jaissle — identified as the club’s new manager in the report — warned of a stretched squad ahead of the Magpies’ fifth match of the season. He expressed hope the upcoming international break will allow injured players time to recover.
“No real update on Anthony (Elanga). I’ve spoken with him now, he is heading for an MRI scan. We will get more clarity after that, and hope it’s not too serious.” Matthias Jaissle made that comment on Elanga’s condition while confirming the player will undergo further examination.
Jaissle added: “We have no new players coming back for the Hull game. We have some injured players missing, but we use that as an opportunity for others. Anthony and Amar will not be able to play on Saturday. JJ is injured.” That comment covered immediate availability and confirmed Anthony Elanga and Amar Dedic will miss the Saturday fixture.
Nico Gonzalez sustained a head injury in the defeat to Leeds and will be unavailable for the Hull match, according to the club’s injury update. The report lists several absentees affecting Jaissle’s selection options for the weekend.
Joelinton, William Osula and Dan Burn are expected to remain sidelined until after the international break, further depleting Newcastle’s squad depth for the fifth league game. The manager signalled reliance on other squad members to fill the gaps created by these absences.
Newcastle will host Hull City on Saturday, 19th September at 7:30 pm IST, with further information on player availability to follow after Elanga’s MRI and any additional medical updates.
