Japan defeat India in Asian Games women's team quarterfinal; Sindhu, Unnati and Tanvi lose

Japan defeated India's women's badminton team in the quarterfinals of the Asian Games.

PV Sindhu lost to Akane Yamaguchi, Unnati Hooda and Tanvi Sharma were also defeated, and Treesa Jolly with Gayatri Gopichand provided India's sole victory in doubles, ending India's run in the women's team event.
