Jayasuriya receives reprimand and demerit point in Colombo Test, third ICC sanction in match

Sri Lanka spinner Prabath Jayasuriya received an official reprimand and one demerit point in the Colombo Test after breaching the ICC Code of Conduct by striking boundary wedges with his bat following a leg-before wicket dismissal, the sanction was reported on August 25, 2026.
He joins Yashasvi Jaiswal and Asitha Fernando, who were also punished earlier, with three players now sanctioned in the ongoing Test match.
