Kaif predicts Sooryavanshi will replace Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube within six months

Mohammad Kaif predicted in a Times of India report on September 24, 2026, that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will replace either Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube in India’s T20I lineup within six months.

Kaif said Sooryavanshi’s impressive performances have created a potentially difficult selection issue for India. He noted that either Tilak Varma or Shivam Dube could be left out of the T20I lineup. Kaif added that Sooryavanshi’s stellar statistics in T20Is and the IPL work in his favour for inclusion in the first-choice team.
