Prithviraj Yodhas also won, defeating Chero Archers to move into third place with eight points.
In the opening match of the day Prithviraj Yodhas downed Chero Archers; their earlier meeting had required three sudden-death tiebreakers but the reverse fixture was more straightforward. Yodhas were paced by 16-year-old recurve archer Gatha Anandrao Khadake, who shot 58 out of a possible 60, and Asian Games compound medallist Ganesh Thirumuru (59). Chero Archers suffered a third straight defeat.
Kakatiya Knights beat Rajputana Royals 6-2. The set scores were 74-73, 79-78, 74-75, 76-74. That victory contributed to Knights sitting on 10 points at the top of the standings.
Mighty Marathas recorded a 6-0 win over Chola Chiefs, with set scores of 77-76, 75-72, 78-75. Chola Chiefs remained at the bottom of the table with just one win in seven matches and endured a fifth successive loss. Marathas, who had started the season with two reverses, have now won five on the bounce.
Prithviraj Yodhas defeated Chero Archers 5-1, the set results being 75-75, 77-75, 77-74. Gatha Anandrao Khadake’s 58 and Ganesh Thirumuru’s 59 were key contributions for Yodhas. The Chero Archers’ loss extended their run of defeats to three.
