Kamran Akmal slams Saim Ayub’s ‘baby cradle’ send-off after India beat Pakistan in Asian Games final

On October 4, 2026, India beat Pakistan by 19 runs in the Asian Games final.

India posted 211/6, and Hasan Nawaz’s 96 could not prevent Pakistan's defeat.

The match was followed by controversy after Saim Ayub gave a 'baby cradle' send-off to 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Former Pakistan player Kamran Akmal criticised the gesture, saying players should focus on performances rather than social media attention.
