Kavya and Beast Mode impress in Pune morning gallops

Kavya and Beast Mode impressed when exercised in Pune on Friday morning (Sept. 25), according to the session report.

The morning trials covered distances from 600m to 1400m with recorded times and brief assessments for each horse; parenthetical names accompany each entry in the report and indicate the rider or handler listed.

At 600m, Liam (T.S. Jodha) posted 41 and was described as Easy; Gunsmoke (Peter) and Immortal Sar (S.J. Sunil) were recorded at 40 and listed as Pair level. Satyavan (N. Bhosale) completed 600m in 42 and was Easy, while Time And Tide (Ramswarup) also did 42 and was Easy.

In the 800m section, Starseed (T.S. Jodha) was timed 54 with a 600/39 split and Moved freely; Neutralist (A. Gaikwad) ran 52, 600/38 and Moved well. Appalachian (T.S. Jodha) recorded 54, 600/40 and Worked freely; Queen Of Beauties (A. Gaikwad) did 51, 600/37 and Moved nicely. Lucky Diamond (J. Chinoy) posted 51, 600/38 and Worked well; Moonlight Kiss (rb) was 53, 600/41 and Moved freely. Ashwa Tazbeez (Gore) ran 53, 600/39 and was Slightly urged, while Baleno (Bhawani) recorded 57, 600/43 and was Easy.

Over 1000m, Beast Mode (Parmar) and Fortunate Son (P. Dhebe) were listed 1-5 with 800/50 and 600/38; the report states the former moved well and finished well clear. Giacomo (Mosin) and It’s My Time (N. Bhosale) were also 1-5 with 800/50 and 600/38 and "moved neck and neck freely." Wind Dancer (N. Bhosale) was 1-6 with 800/52 and 600/40 and was Pressed.

The 1200m trials showed Kimiko (J. Chinoy) at 1-22 with 1000/1-7, 800/52 and 600/40 and noted as Pushed; Golden Eye (Mosin) was 1-22 with 1000/1-8, 800/54 and 600/42 and Worked well.

The report concludes with the 1400m effort: Kavya (D.A. Naik) clocked 1-34, with 1200/1-18, 1000/1-3, 800/50 and 600/37, and was recorded as Moved impressively.
