Kirsten cites limited Test schedule after Sri Lanka lose Galle Test to India

Sri Lanka coach Gary Kirsten said on August 19, 2026 that his team must convert recent progress into results after losing the Galle Test to India by 165 runs.

He pointed to limited Test cricket as a challenge but said six more Tests in the next six months will help.

Kirsten also stressed the need for a bowling attack capable of taking 20 wickets consistently.
