Laver Cup returns to London with $1.5 million prize pool from Sept. 25-27
The Laver Cup will be contested at London’s O2 Arena from September 25 to 27, 2026, as Team Europe and Team World meet across three days of competition.
This is the second straight year the event is staged in London; Team Europe, captained by Yannick Noah, will seek to reclaim the trophy after Andre Agassi’s Team World defeated Europe 15-9 in San Francisco last year. The 2026 rosters are led by Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev for Europe, and Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur for World, with matches played under the competition’s progressive scoring system.
Prize distribution at the Laver Cup differs from a standard tour event because there are no knockout rounds; payouts are driven principally by which team wins the event, with an additional layer of individual appearance fees added on top. The event’s payout model allocates team rewards equally among winning members rather than by individual match records.
The total purse for 2026 is $1.5 million, and every member of the winning side will receive $250,000 apiece irrespective of their win–loss record during the competition. That equal-winner payout has been in place since the format change introduced at the 2023 edition, which removed payments to the losing team.
Between 2017 and 2022 the Laver Cup used a different structure: losing players received $125,000 each from a larger total prize pool of $2.25 million. The current configuration represents the event’s post-2023 approach to distributing the purse.
Each player also earns an appearance fee calculated from their ATP singles ranking as of the Monday following this year’s French Open rather than their ranking at the time of the Laver Cup. Under that cutoff, Alcaraz is the highest-paid appearance fee earner on Team Europe at No. 2 despite missing Roland Garros, Zverev is No. 3 after winning the title at the same tournament, and Alex de Minaur draws the largest appearance fee for Team World based on his No. 9 ranking.
Matches at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom, will take place from September 25 to 27, and results at the Laver Cup do not award any ATP ranking points.
