Le Court wins Tour of Britain Women in Leamington Spa as Wiebes takes final stage

Kim Le Court clinched the overall title in the Tour of Britain Women in Royal Leamington Spa on 23 August 2026, while Lorena Wiebes won the final stage and finished second. Wiebes’s sprint delivered her fourth stage victory in the 2026 edition and was the 137th win of her career.
Le Court, representing Mauritius, anchored her general classification success on a solo triumph in Friday’s stage to the Great Orme overlooking Llandudno and had previously won a stage and placed ninth overall in the Tour de France Femmes. The win at Leamington Spa was described in the report as the most significant stage race victory of her career. Wiebes’s stage success in the British race was recorded as her 11th career stage win on British soil.
Sara Martín of Movistar, British rider Alice Towers and Eva van Agt of FDJ United-Suez escaped the peloton with around 110km to race and collaborated to open a gap. Their advantage grew to around two-and-a-half minutes before the climbs of Sun Rising Hill and Burton Dassett reduced their margin.
As the race entered the final 20km the peloton increased its tempo on the approach to the Warwickshire spa town, steadily eroding the breakaway’s lead. With under 5km remaining the trio still held roughly half a minute, but they were caught with barely a kilometre to race.
Wiebes, who had to work hard for her win, produced the decisive sprint once the breakaway was reabsorbed and crossed the line first in the stage. The stage victory was noted as her 11th in the British race and her fourth in this edition of the Tour of Britain Women.
Le Court’s performance in the closing stages secured her the overall general classification victory in the Tour of Britain Women at Royal Leamington Spa.
