Leylah Fernandez and Talia Gibson will contest the Singapore Open 2026 final at the OCBC Arena in Kallang, Singapore on September 27, with the championship match scheduled to start at 5:00 PM local time (2:30 PM IST). The match will decide the WTA 500 title at the tournament.
Fernandez, the sixth seed, reached the final after eliminating top seed Mirra Andreeva in the quarter-finals and then overturning a 1-6 deficit in the opening set to beat Maja Chwalinska in the semi-finals. This is Fernandez’s first WTA final of the year and her ninth overall; a victory would be her sixth career title and her first since winning the Osaka Open last October.
Gibson progressed to the final without playing a semi-final after receiving a walkover from Tatiana Prozorova, who was ruled unable to continue under the WTA’s concussion protocol. Prior to the walkover, the 22-year-old had produced a three-set victory over seventh seed Maria Sakkari during the week. Ranked outside the world’s top 60, Gibson will appear in the first WTA Tour-level final of her career.
