Lovlina Borgohain will begin her Asian Games 2026 campaign in the women’s 75kg event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Monday, September 28. She will look to upgrade her previous Asiad medal to gold in Aichi-Nagoya.

The 28-year-old is a Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medallist and a recipient of the Khel Ratna Award and the Arjuna Award. She returned from Glasgow 2026 with a silver after losing 4-1 to Australia’s Emma-Sue Greentree in the Commonwealth Games final. Organisers will add match-level details when the full draw is made.

Her best result at the Asian Games to date is silver at Hangzhou 2023 in the middle-weight category. She won bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, becoming only the third Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal, and she also won gold at the 2023 World Championships.

Lovlina’s opening bout is confirmed as the women’s 75kg quarter-final on Monday, September 28 from 8:30 am IST in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan; if she wins she would move on to the semi-finals on September 30 and be in contention for the final on October 2.
