Man City enter race for Manu Kone as Thursday transfer gossip circulates

Manchester City have joined Manchester United in pursuing Roma midfielder Manu Kone, with the 25-year-old France international having been linked with United this summer. Other reported interest includes Aston Villa targeting Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo and Tottenham holding talks over two Manchester City attackers.
Roma's Manu Kone, 25, is identified by Manchester City as a potential recruit after earlier links to Manchester United this summer. Aston Villa are named as interested in Chelsea's English defender Tosin Adarabioyo, 28, as a possible replacement for Ezri Konsa following Arsenal's deal for the 28-year-old England international, and Benfica have also reportedly contacted Chelsea over Adarabioyo.
Tottenham are reported to be in discussions to sign Manchester City’s Brazil winger Savinho, 22, and Egypt forward Omar Marmoush, 27. Barcelona are said to be monitoring Harry Kane’s contract talks with Bayern Munich; the England striker, 33, has entered the final year of his current deal.
Everton have been linked with Como’s Senegal winger Assane Diao, 20, who is reported to carry a price tag between £50m and £60m.
Arsenal’s Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus, 29, is reported not to be seeking a move to Napoli despite their interest. Juventus have joined Napoli in showing interest in Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, 25, while Hull City are reported to be close to an agreement with Real Betis for 20-year-old Spanish winger Pablo Garcia.
Hull City, Ipswich Town and Al-Ittihad are pushing to sign Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, 26, from Girona. Arsenal are said to be working on deals to sign Gibraltar winger James Scanlon, 19, and English right-back Habeeb Ogunneye, 20, from Manchester United, and Barcelona have reportedly put approaches for Argentina forward Julian Alvarez, 26, from Atletico Madrid on hold.
Any potential move for Joshua Zirkzee would be contingent on Juventus or Napoli making sales before pursuing the Netherlands forward, 25, and Sunderland could trigger Sporting’s €60m (£51m) release clause to sign Mozambique winger Geny Catamo, 25.
