Man Utd pursuing Leicester midfielder Louis Page with talks ongoing

Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Leicester teenager Louis Page, with talks understood to be ongoing as reported on 9 August 2026. The 18-year-old midfielder has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs.
Page, who turned 18 last month, was named EFL Apprentice of the Year last season and is an England Under-20 international. He joined Leicester at under-9s and has progressed through the club’s youth system.
The midfielder has made 21 senior appearances for the Foxes, including five starts last season as they were relegated from the Championship. His senior debut came against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2025 and his most recent outing was in the Carabao Cup win over Northampton on Saturday.
Page signed professional terms with Leicester in September 2025, which means United would need to agree a transfer fee with the League One side. At the time of that contract the club described him as "one of the brightest talents in our system".
Arsenal and Aston Villa have also shown big interest in Page in recent weeks, and his potential move would follow the departure of forward Jeremy Monga, 17, who joined Manchester City. The transfer would continue a pattern of young Leicester prospects moving to top-flight clubs.
Discussions are understood to be ongoing between the clubs, and any transfer will require Manchester United to reach agreement with Leicester over a fee.
