As of August 10, 2026, 18-year-old Manav Krishna is aiming to make his debut in the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) after earlier appearances for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy and an India Under-19 cap.

Manav grew up idolising M.S. Dhoni and developed a focus on wicket-keeping; despite being regarded as one of Kerala’s brightest young prospects he has yet to play a single match in the State’s premier T20 tournament. He was a surprise omission in the KCL second-season auction, was later picked as a replacement during that edition, but a call-up for the NCA camp prevented him from making his debut then.

Manav enters the upcoming competition on the back of a century against Sri Lanka in the second youth Test in July and has expressed confidence about the shift to T20 cricket. “I am very confident that I will be able to adapt to T20 cricket, and I think I have the strokes to succeed in this format. I played on a good batting track in Sri Lanka and made good use of the opportunity. I played the ball on merit, and it was satisfying to score a century against Sri Lanka,’’ he said.

His 2025-26 Cooch Behar Trophy campaign yielded 590 runs including two centuries, and his batting was described in the source as the lone bright spot for Kerala in a disastrous campaign. Those performances led to selection in the Ranji Trophy side; on debut against Goa he took four catches behind the stumps and contributed to what the article called a consolation win for his team.

Manav made a deliberate move from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram to advance his career and has been training under S.S. Shine at St. Mary’s Cricket Academy. “He is very hard-working, sincere and above all, very focused. I am happy with the way he has progressed, and the India Under-19 cap doesn’t surprise me. He is one of the best young talents in Kerala right now,’’ said Shine.

Having been selected by Thrissur Titans for the KCL third season, Manav will now have the opportunity to make his first appearance in the State’s premier T20 tournament.
