Manchester United name travelling squad for pre-season trip to face PSG

Manchester United on August 7, 2026 named a travelling squad for their pre-season friendly against UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, confirming the group that will make the trip to face PSG. The selection comes as one of Michael Carrick’s final opportunities to assess his squad ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The squad blends established first-team players with several academy prospects. Club captain Bruno Fernandes returns to the group, while full-backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are included. Matheus Cunha, despite having returned to training, is not in the travelling party, and Benjamin Šeško misses out again. Youri Tielemans is in the squad and could make his debut for the club in the upcoming friendly.

Goalkeepers named in the travelling party are Tom Heaton, Dermot Mee and Fred Heath.

Defenders selected for the trip are Harry Amass, Dan Armer, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Diogo Dalot, Ayden Heaven, Harry Maguire, Noussair Mazraoui, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro.

The midfield contingent comprises Bruno Fernandes, Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher, Mason Mount, Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.

Forwards included on the trip are Amad, Shea Lacey, Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee.

The named group will travel to face PSG in the pre-season friendly, giving Carrick the chance to evaluate players ahead of the 2026-27 season.
