Manchester United report record £677.6m revenue for 2025-26

Manchester United announced in their latest financial report on 23 September 2026 that they recorded a club record revenue of £677.6 million for the 2025-26 fiscal year, despite not participating in any European games last season.

The figure surpasses the previous high of £666.5 million set in 2025 and comes alongside a pre-tax loss of £43m for the year, up from a £33m loss in the prior year. The club said the change in underlying results produced an operating profit of £22.6m this year after an operating loss of £18.4m a year earlier.

Manchester United’s EBITDA increased by 18.4% from the 2025 fiscal year to the 2026 fiscal year, although revenue and EBITDA both fell in the fourth quarter from £164.1m and £37.5m to £157.5m and £28.9m respectively.

The club attributed the return to an operating profit to "the benefits of operating cost and headcount reductions previously implemented, combined with improved Premier League performance." The Red Devils finished third in the Premier League last season.

Interim manager Michael Carrick took charge for the second half of the season and won 11 of the 16 games he managed. The previous season, under Ruben Amorim, United finished 15th and lost to Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League final.

The club revealed it has purchased the land needed for a new stadium and said it wants the venue to have 100,000 seats, having acquired the "majority" of the land in June; work remains to buy the outstanding parcels, which the club said is expected to be straightforward.

United reported a saving of more than £8 million linked to Ruben Amorim joining AC Milan; Amorim and his coaching staff had been due £16.7 million on dismissal, but that amount was cut by more than half after he was hired at San Siro. They are 12th in the table.

The club said remaining work is required to complete land purchases for the proposed 100,000-seat stadium, with the outstanding acquisitions expected to be easily secured.
