Marcus Stoinis and Mohsin Khan are reported to be the subjects of a potential swap between Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the IPL 2027 mini-auction, according to reports published on November 3, 2026. The move is being discussed as part of wider trade activity around the upcoming auction.

Hardik Pandya’s possible trade from Mumbai Indians to Punjab Kings has prompted the discussion, with PBKS reportedly in talks to exchange Hardik for Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod. Reports say that, if completed, that transaction would be historic and would strengthen Punjab Kings’ core. The prospect of losing Arshdeep would leave PBKS seeking a replacement for their lead seamer.

According to a Sportstar report, Punjab Kings may approach Lucknow Super Giants to acquire left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan in a swap that would send Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis the other way. Mohsin has been with LSG since his IPL debut in 2022 and has taken 38 wickets in 31 matches. Stoinis represented LSG from 2022 to 2024 before joining PBKS for a second stint in 2025, and he could return to LSG if the proposed deals are completed.

The league’s administrative timetable places the last date to submit retention lists on November 17, 2026, with the trade window staying open until one week before the mini-auction. The IPL 2027 mini-auction is scheduled for December 16 in Goa.

Only two trades have been completed so far: Rishabh Pant returned to Delhi Capitals and Kuldeep Yadav moved to Lucknow Super Giants. The second trade also involved Delhi Capitals swapping T. Natarajan with Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Zeeshan Ansari. Hardik was previously traded to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans in 2024 and is now being linked with a move to PBKS.

IPL 2027 is likely to begin on March 10, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who won the last edition, will defend their title.
